Oven-roasted asparagus recipe

Isn’t asparagus wonderful? A few years ago I came up with an incredibly easy oven-roasted asparagus recipe. Oven roasted asparagus with salt, pepper, and garlic

Here’s how to  make it:

  • 1 clove fresh garlic
  • 25-30 stalks asparagus
  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

Cut the fibrous, hard parts off the ends of your asparagus and wash it thoroughly.

Put the asparagus into a plastic bag, or onto a pan. Add the freshly diced garlic, black pepper, salt and olive oil. Shake the bag until the ingredients are fully dispersed over the asparagus and allow them to sit and marinade for at least a few minutes. (Or, if you are using a pan, mix the ingredients and allow them to sit.)

Finally, place the asparagus stalks on a tray and bake in the oven. I usually bake them at around 350 degrees F.
