Last winter I started knitting an ambitious cabled sweater with a peplum. I chose it partly because it is such a gorgeous pattern, but also because I love to learn new skills.
This sweater required knitting the center waist (belt area) first, joining it and then picking up stitches on both the top and the bottom of that initial circular piece.
Here’s the link to the Ravelry website where I found the inspiration to knit this project.

In August I finished the project and lovingly washed and blocked it.
Isn’t there such a sense of satisfaction in admiring a finished work? Whether it be knitting a sweater, painting a picture, creating a website, or any other time-consuming and passion-filled endeavor, the sense of accomplishment in creating something meaningful is tangible and real.
It’s gorgeous!
